Happy Thanksgiving!

Look, we didn’t want any tension out there with you all wondering
"When’s Sound Fix gonna wish me a Happy Thanksgiving?" or anything,
so we decided to get to it right off. And y’know—Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope you all have a safe holiday and are surrounded by any combination
of family and football or no family and no football, and a big turkey
meal or a vegetarian variant thereof. Or Chinese food.

Now that we have that out of way, we have some exciting news for you.
First, we are about to begin an exciting new chapter in Sound Fix’s
history. After years of being asked politely about it, we’re finally about
to start stocking turntables, needles and cartridges, and headphones.
We’re doing it right too, with solid to excellent gear in a mix of price ranges.
The first turntables we’ll be bringing in are Music Hall brand (including
one with USB/digital-conversion capabilities). We’ll also have top-of-the-line
headphones from Eskuche and Grado and lots of other neat products to make
your listening experience a truly quality one. Check out our new glass cabinets!

Also, this Friday the 25th is the day of frantic shopping. To help
keep you from being trampled at your local electronics and appliances
shop, the folks behind Record Store Day have come up with...a Record
Store Day for Black Friday
to get you into Sound Fix (or your local
record shop). We’ll be opening at 11am and will have a wide variety
of all things wax and round, including the Beatles, the Black Keys,
Nirvana, Syd Barrett, John Lennon, the Beastie Boys, the Doors, the
Grateful Dead, Iron & Wine, the Byrds, Bob Dylan, Pete Townshend,
Pink Floyd, Kings of Leon, Miles Davis, Ryan Adams, Sharon Jones,
Silversun Pickups
and more. We’ve also got loads of cool stuff
in stock that’ll make perfect stocking stuffers, from box sets on
down to discount classic rock, soul and roots CDs. Just saying.

And wait, there’s more! Saturday you’re gonna want to be back to
Sound Fix for a Cymbals Eat Guitars live in-store starting at 6pm.
The band just released its terrific second album on Barsuk, Lenses
Alien
, so expect to hear a lot of that and maybe some of Why There
Are Mountains
. This is the Staten Island band’s second trip to Sound
Fix, and we’re thrilled to have them for what promises to be an exciting
show of exuberant, anthemic indie rock. Hope to see you all there.

That’s it kids, no reviews this time. We think the above news
makes for a full meal! See you soon...
